A sweet and highly amusing comedy set in Last Vegas

Last Vegas (12A)

Directed by Jon Turteltaub

4 Stars

Think The Hangover for sexagenarians starring four Academy Award winning greats who are wonderfully entertaining in this sweet and highly amusing comedy set in Last Vegas.

Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline play lifelong friends who meet up for possibly one last time - in light of their advancing years - to give the remaining single guy in the gang, Douglas, the bachelor party of his life before he marries a woman half his age.

They each have their demons to deal with as they let rip in Sin City.

Directed by Jon Turteltaub this is comedy gold thanks to the explosive performances from the legendary cast coupled with Dan Fogelman's insightful and sublime screenplay which avoids patronising its target audience.

This is a film which celebrates growing old disgracefully and that life doesn't end at 60-plus along with our passions or desires as Hollywood might have you think.

With some great visual gags and veteran stars who clearly had a blast making this, Last Vegas is a comedy gem which shouldn't be missed.
