Cambodia Prime Minister Hun Sen says secret talks with opposition may end its parliament boycott

Opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party 'close to ending boycott' of parliament after secret talks iron out disagreements with ruling Cambodian People's Party, with one 'small point' left to resolve

Prime Minister Hun Sen said yesterday that secret talks with the country’s opposition have resolved most of their differences and the two sides may soon reach an agreement for the opposition to end its boycott of parliament.

Mr Hun Sen said that an unspecified “small point” remains unresolved between his ruling Cambodian People’s People Party and opposition leader Sam Rainsy’s Cambodia National Rescue Party and that they might reach an agreement before the Cambodian New Year in the middle of the month.
