My Darling Clementine
The Reconciliation?
(Continental Song City)
5 Stars
Michael Weston King needs no introduction to Star readers as We're All In It Together, the double CD he curated in order to raise money for the paper, has been extraordinarily successful in that respect.
Here he teams up with his partner Lou Dalgleish for the follow-up to their first album of Country/Americana How Do You Plead which went down a storm on both sides of the Atlantic.
This second album too focuses on songs of love and longing which illustrate the bitter-sweet realities of long-term relationships.
The duo are supported by most of Richard Hawley's backing band and guest appearances from Kinky Friedman and the Brodsky Quartet.
All the self-penned songs are unmistakable classic Nashville and promise once again to put the duo firmly at the top of the country music tree.
Highly recommended.
