Freedom Party vows to ‘ban the Koran’

NETHERLANDS: The far-right Freedom Party (PVV), leading the polls ahead of next year’s general election, has vowed to close mosques and “ban the Koran,” in its manifesto.

PVV leader Geert Wilders tweeted: “All mosques and Islamic schools closed, a ban on the Koran,” on Thursday. The PVV claims it would reverse the “Islamisation” of the Netherlands with measures including barring migrants from Islamic countries and banning the hijab.
