MOSCOW denied allegations yesterday that it had a blackmail file on US president-elect Donald Trump.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “This is an obvious attempt to harm our bilateral relations,” quipping: “Pulp fiction, that’s what it is called in English.”
CNN reported on Tuesday that spooks had given the White House a dossier of the unconfirmed reports that Moscow had gathered details of Mr Trump’s business dealings and sexual proclivities.
Website Buzzfeed published the entire dossier, which it said was “prepared for political opponents of Trump by a person who is understood to be a former British intelligence agent” and had been circulating at top levels of US government.
Mr Trump tweeted: “Russia has never tried to use leverage over me, adding in block capitals: “I have nothing to do with Russia — no deals, no loans, no nothing!”
