Fighting Fund

Steady as we go! We received £608 yesterday which is not to be sneezed at.

Leading the way are the delegates from last weekend's trades councils conference who raised £140 for the Fund.

The role of trades councils in building resistance to the Con-Dem genocide in the public sector cannot be overstated.

Many are being revitalised at the moment and I thank them for thinking of us when deciding on their programme of resistance.

Thanks also to the comrade who signed a cheque for £100 despite being in hospital.

We wish you a speedy recovery and the next donation coming from you at home.

Comrades in Bristol have sent in £20 and Anonymous from Brampton continues to send us £2 every day.

I have a returned prize of £25 from a winner in the fabled 501 Club and a top-up of £4 from an old friend in Camden who was paying for her ad.

I wish her well for her knee replacement operation, after which I know she will resume her singing and dancing duties.

A comrade has donated £26 which amounted to the profit from the sale of his book and standing orders contributed £145.

Virtual followers have sent in £146 via the website so all of you take a bow.

More of the same please.

Let us get the new editor off to a flying start with a bumper Fund so that I can resume my philosophical considerations on the art of money raising in the 21st century.
