I have just finished writing The March that Shook Blair, an oral history of the march which will be published by Peace News Press in February 2013, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the largest protest in British history.
Ken Livingstone told me that he had calculated the number of people on the march was the equivalent of the entire population of England around the year 1200.
Peace News Press is a small, independent, cash-poor publisher so is crowd-sourcing part of the cost of publishing the book using Kickstarter. It would be great if readers could help me publish my book by donating to the Kickstarter project: www.kck.st/WzQ4hi.
As US dissident Noam Chomsky noted that "part of the whole technique of disempowering people is to make sure that the real agents of change fall out of history, and are never recognised in the culture for what they are."
The March that Shook Blair documents, celebrates and critically analyses 15 February 2003 and the wider anti-war movement.
I hope it will be of interest to Star readers and many other people.
