Stalled bonus talks 'threaten disruption for Commonwealth Games,' warns Aslef
One-off payments sought for members' extra work during massive sporting event

Train drivers’ union Aslef warned yesterday that transport services at July’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow will be disrupted if rail bosses continue to stall on bonus talks.

Aslef wants one-off bonus payments for work involved in providing extra services for spectators at the games, which will cause inevitable knock-on effects across the rail network.

Aslef Scottish secretary Kevin Lindsay said: “If we don’t reach a settlement, ScotRail will have difficulty running their services during the games.
