MAJOR Labour Party affiliate GMB will push the party to support leaving the European Union if workers’ rights are weakened.
The general union tabled a motion at the TUC Congress this week calling for Britain to quit the EU if David Cameron is successful in “hawking” British workers’ rights, but withdrew it following pressure for consensus.
But it submitted a motion yesterday to Labour conference, which begins at the end of next week, to push the position.
