BERYL HUFFINLEY, a leading figure in the labour, trade union and peace movements in Yorkshire, nationally and internationally has died at the age of 92.

Ms Huffinley devoted her life to the causes of peace and union activism.

She was a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain until its demise in 1991 and was active during the decades when the party had a significant influence on the politics and policies of the labour and trades union movement in the UK.
