“Palestinian people are now being systematically oppressed by the State of Israel. Many are living in exile, unable to return to their land from which they were illegally expelled.“

In the finest tradition of political songwriting The Rain That Falls On Palestine reflects what the Palestinian people are experiencing at the hands of the Israeli government.
In recognition of the solidarity the songs expresses, Dr Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, ambassador of the Palestinian Mission to Ireland wrote: “The Mission of the State of Palestine would like to thank Davie for highlighting the issues that are affecting the people of Palestine through his song.”
