Chris Williamson back in Labour Party after suspension lifted

DERBY NORTH MP Chris Williamson is back in the Labour Party after his suspension was lifted today.

The prominent socialist and anti-imperialist MP, who has taken stands against US aggression against Venezuela and Iran and campaigned against the torture of political prisoners in Turkey, was suspended last year for defending Labour’s record of action against anti-semitism.

He has been issued with a formal warning and returns to the Labour benches.
