Men's Basketball Golden State Warriors sign DeMarcus Cousins

DeMarcus Cousins, the 6ft 11 centre, is now an ex-New Orleans Pelicans player after he was traded to the Golden State Warriors yesterday.

The already super team Warriors signed another huge star to bring their team to Harlem Globetrotter standard.

Golden State won the NBA Championship last season by sweeping the Cleverland Cavaliers four games to zero at a canter.

With superstars Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymong Green, who brought them to their third title in four years, already in the team, did they really need more reinforcements?

Heading into the season, the three main contenders for the Championship this season look likely to be Golden State, Houston Rockets and now the LA Lakers after acquiring LeBron James, as he attempts to overcome this brick wall that is the Warriors.

But with the team that Golden State now have, the attempts to beat them to the race of the Championship rings may stay everlasting.

This season should be full of many losses for other teams and many wins for Golden State as surely now that they have arguably the best centre in the league and by far, on paper, the best team in the league.

A third consecutive ring and Championship for Golden State already seems a certainty and many feel it should be given to them now.

But who knows what could be to come in the 2018/19 season?
