Police filmed stamping on young man's head at Manchester Airport

FOOTAGE posted on social media today appeared to show a police officer stamping on a young man’s head at Manchester airport.

The officer was seen holding a Taser over the man, who was lying on the floor with his arms behind his back surrounded by a group of officers, before striking him twice.

An elderly woman wearing a headscarf attempted to shield him from the assault as he lay helplessly on the ground.

The officer then apparently went on to kick another man to the ground who he then hit behind the head.

Claims surfaced on X that the incident came about after a man assaulted an officer who he thought had pushed his mother.

Manchester Police released a statement saying that they had been called to reports of an altercation at Terminal Two.

It said that three officers were attacked and that one had a broken nose.

Four men were arrested for affray and assaulting emergency service workers.
