CUBA won six gold medals in the Greco-Roman style of the Granma-Cerro Pelado International Tournament at Havana’s Sports City Coliseum.
The home titles went to Luis Orta (60kg), Ismael Borrero (67), Ariel Fis (77), Antonio Duran (87), Gabriel Rosillo (97) and Oscar Pino (130).
Orta — who won gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia last year — once again defeated teammate Javier Dumenigo. The Cuban 2018 Rookie of the Year won this time 2-1 over his toughest domestic rival.
The Cuban haul was completed with two silver and five bronze medals, while the only crown that the hosts could not achieve went to German Anthony Sanders in the 72kg division.
