Breaking Britain loses landmark UN vote on Chagos Islands

THE UN General Assembly has voted by an overwhelming majority in favour of a implementing a court ruling that says Britain's occupation of the Chagos Islands violates international law.

116 members voted in support of the resolution with only the US, Australia, Israel, Hungary and the Maldives supporting the UK.
