Queen Mary's Hospital strike off after bosses ditch plans for jobs cuts

OUTSOURCED workers at a south London hospital were celebrating victory today after bosses withdrew plans to cull jobs following a vote for strike action.

Sodexo, which employs the staff as domestics, housekeepers and porters at Queen Mary’s Hospital, has confirmed that its consultation into “drastic cuts” will not now go ahead.

May’s unanimous vote for walkouts at the Roehampton site had seen the plans paused.
