London Underground workers could strike on bank holiday
LONDON Underground could be closed over the bank holiday weekend as workers take action over a “botched” attempt to cut pay and jobs, Tube unions announced yesterday.
Technicians represented by Unite, TSSA and RMT have voted to strike.
The 40 workers are based in the Tube’s power control room at Blackfriars station and operate the network’s energy grid, powering trains, the track, signalling and escalators.
