A note on the Morning Star's web problems

THE Morning Star is aware there have been serious problems with our online edition since the launch of the new website and especially since December 21.

We would like to apologise to subscribers and assure them that our developers are working on restoring subscriptions that are currently not functioning.

The website encountered technical problems and crashed on December 21 and over the Christmas period only an out-of-date version was available as we had difficulty restoring staff access to update the site and restore articles which disappeared. We have now regained access and new content is again appearing on the website. We are working through the backlog of articles which are currently inaccessible and they should all be back online shortly.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience these problems have caused our readers and contributors and thank you all for your continued support amid these difficulties.
