Garcia leaves Watford to recover from chest pains

OSCAR GARCIA yesterday stepped down as Watford manager and has been replaced by Billy McKinlay as the Spaniard recovers from the chest pains which had him hospitalised earlier this month.

Garcia replaced Beppe Sannino at the start of September but was admitted to hospital after suffering from pains in his chest.

He was discharged on Sunday but has decided to step down from his role to take time away from football with the former Fulham assistant McKinlay in charge for tonight’s home game against Brentford.
