London Assembly blocks Boris' fire strike lock-out plan

LONDON Assembly Members doused dangerous Tory plans to lock striking firefighters out of their stations yesterday — but Mayor Boris Johnson could resurrect them. 

Labour AMs led emergency opposition to proposals brought forward by London Fire Commissioner Ron Dobson on behalf of Boris Johnson. 

And they defeated the politically-motivated move with the support of one Green and one Lib Dem AM.
