EU NATIONS moved toward tightening security around the bloc’s external borders yesterday in response to the Paris terrorist attacks.

One week on from the wave of bombings and shootings that has now claimed 130 lives, France and Belgium urged their EU partners to tighten gun laws and border security and to cut off funds to extremist groups.

“We have talked enough. We have to act. It’s not an option, it’s an obligation,” Luxembourger Domestic Security Minister Etienne Schneider told a meeting in Brussels.
