South Korea: Aide to Park hit by fraud scandal may face arrest
SOUTH Korean prosecutors have sought an arrest warrant for President Park Geun Hye’s close confidant, who is accused of using her influence to solicit donations worth tens of millions of pounds.
The warrant request for Choi Soon Sil on charges of abuse of authority and attempted fraud was submitted on Tuesday and and will be processed by tomorrow morning, said Seoul Central District Court spokesman Shin Jae Hwan.
Ms Choi will remain in detention until then.
