Israel police kill three suspects

ISRAELI occupation forces shot three Palestinians, two fatally, after two stabbings in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

One man injured two Israeli police, one seriously, outside Herod’s Gate in Jerusalem’s old city and was shot dead, police spokeswoman Luba Samri said.

The Wafa news agency identified the dead man as 20-year-old Ayman Kurd from the Ras el-Amoud district of East Jerusalem.

Police closed the main gates to the old city following the incident and forced shops in the bustling commercial area to shut early.

The gates were later reopened, but the shops were ordered to remain closed until further notice.

Later, two unidentified Palestinians were shot after allegedly trying to attack border police in Hebron. One was killed.

Ms Samri claimed the two had drawn knives at an Israeli occupation checkpoint.
