Government reports Turkey to UN over ‘crimes’ in al-Bab

DAMASCUS condemned Turkey’s “crimes” against the Syrian people yesterday, pointing to the killing of dozens of civilians in the Isis-held northern town of al-Bab.

The Foreign Ministry complained about Turkish violations of Syria’s sovereignty in letters sent to the UN secretary-general and the president of the security council.

Turkish troops and allied opposition fighters have been on the offensive in al-Bab for weeks, trying to take it from the Isis terrorist group in hostilities that have killed hundreds of people so far.
