Rally attacks centre cuts

AN all-female rally is set to form a “stunning funeral procession” through central London today in memory of closed domestic violence help centres as a result of funding cuts.

Sisters Uncut will lead the 1,000 women estimated to take part — including survivors of domestic abuse — from noon in Soho, central London.

Ciara Matthews from Sisters Uncut said: “Cuts to local council budgets are direct cuts to domestic violence services, and will directly put women in danger of further violence.

“It really is a case of ‘he cuts, we bleed.”
