Workers have their fill of Weetabix and vote for action

WORKERS who make the breakfast cereal Weetabix are to strike in the new year in a row over shift changes.

A series of weekly 24-hour stoppages is being organised by shop workers’ union Usdaw after staff voted 91.7 per cent for strike action in the dispute.

Bosses’ plans for shift changes would mean 24-hour, seven-day working with little financial compensation.
The action involves 243 workers in Kettering and Corby.
