Leeds co-owner Massimo Cellino had his 18-month Football Association ban reduced to 12 months yesterday after an appeal.
In November Cellino and the club were each fined £250,000 after being found guilty of breaching the FA’s agency regulations.
The decision related to the sale of Ross McCormack to Fulham in 2014 and Cellino stated an immediate intention to appeal against it.
That has been successful in terms of a six-month reduction but the FA announced that the Italian will be banned from all football-related activity for one year commencing on February 18.
In addition, Cellino’s fine has been reduced to £100,000 and the club’s to £200,000.
The club expressed their disappointment at the new ruling, though, with a statement saying: “The club are also incredibly disappointed by the fine and ban imposed upon Mr Cellino, despite reductions following the appeal.
“The club will now consider all options with its legal team before making any further comment.”
Last month, Cellino sold 50 per cent of his stake in Leeds to compatriot Andrea Radrizzani.
The club are currently fourth in the Championship.
