Landlords taking deposits for homes they don’t own

VULNERABLE people are being exploited by criminal landlords operating illegally in the Govanhill area of Glasgow, a BBC Scotland investigation showed yesterday.

The landlords, many of whom have previously been struck off the register by Glasgow City Council for misconduct, have reportedly stolen deposits, rented out substandard homes and even taken cash for properties that did not actually belong to them.
