South Korea: Park pulls out of questioning over leaks

SUSPENDED South Korean President Park Geun Hye pulled out of questioning by prosecutors yesterday, claiming they had leaked details to the media.

Prosecution spokesman Lee Kyu Chul said yesterday that Ms Park’s lawyers told his team they were withdrawing after accusing prosecutors of releasing information.

Mr Lee denied his office leaked the information, saying both sides had agreed not to disclose the time and place of the questioning until it was over.
