Poor doors owners to talk with activists
Housing campaigners reached gained an initial victory over owners of “apartheid doors” building 1 Commercial Street in London yesterday.
New freehold owner Hondo Enterprises’s executive director Taylor McWilliams agreed to sit down and talk with members of the Poor Doors campaign.
Outraged activists had mounted weekly pickets after it emerged that the building’s social tenants were forced to use a shabby alleyway to gain entry while wealthy inhabitants enjoyed a grand lobby with concierge service.
