Classy Cas set the pace
Whitewashing Tigers are a step ahead, says James Nalton

CASTLEFORD TIGERS continue to live up to their “Classy Cas” nickname as they set the pace and standard at the top of the Super League table.

The Tigers’ latest prey were the Widnes Vikings, who were defeated 34-0 on the artificial turf of their Lowerhouse Lane ground on Sunday. Daryl Powell’s side continue to throw caution to the wind with their attacking play but they will also be pleased to keep their opposition at bay, especially away from home.

Greg Minikin and Greg Eden carried on their prolific try-scoring form, grabbing a brace each. The pair stay level at the top of the league’s try-scoring charts with eight apiece this season so far.
