Virgin recruits East Coast ‘scab army’
Rail union exposes strike-breaking plans

RAIL privateer Virgin Trains East Coast was accused yesterday of recruiting a “scab army” to undermine strike action against cuts.

Transport union RMT branded the move a “deliberate and outrageous” provocation.

The union says Virgin has been training “volunteers” from across Britain using empty trains to prepare for potential strike action against redundancies and service cuts.
