THE Doncaster carers are reluctantly returning to work today after being given a heroes’ welcome at this weekend’s TUC demonstration in London.
About 150 Care UK staff are clocking in for their first shifts after their latest three-week strike against cruel pay cuts, which ended at midnight.
But they go back with their heads held high after receiving an “uplifting” reception from thousands of trade unionists in Hyde Park on Saturday.
