Waspi women stung into action over pensions injustice
Changes to the state pensions age mean thousands of women in their fifties face a future of financial uncertainty – but the Women Against State Pension Inequality campaign is fighting back, writes ANGELA RAYNER

WOMEN have been in the news a bit more than usual this week, with International Women’s Day and the TUC Women’s Conference taking place.

But there is one group of women who should be singled out for special attention by the Labour and trade union movement.

They are the Women Against State Pension Inequality campaign or Waspi.
