LABOUR’S leadership will not take part in the toxic Tory scaremongering campaign ahead of the EU referendum, John McDonnell vowed yesterday.
The shadow chancellor made the pledge before embarking on a week-long speaking tour as part of the Another Europe Is Possible campaign, starting in Wolverhampton.
He said: “The EU referendum is about our future relationship with Europe, not who is the next leader of the Tory Party, which is why I think there is a positive case to be made and it’s vital young people hear this case over the personal ambitions of different Tory MPs.
Starmer sabotaged Labour with his second referendum campaign, mobilising a liberal backlash that sincerely felt progressive ideals were at stake — but the EU was then and is now an entity Britain should have nothing to do with, explains NICK WRIGHT
