Venezuela: Court voids assembly votes until suspended MPs leave
VENEZUELA’s Supreme Court has annulled all parliamentary votes until three MPs suspended over vote-buying claims are removed.
Monday’s ruling came in response to defiance of the suspension by the opposition Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD), a coalition of right-wing parties.
The MUD won control of the national assembly in December’s elections after 17 years in the political wilderness.
