DAVID HAYE’S “fucking retards” outburst will be probed by the British Boxing Board of Control, BBBC general secretary Robert Smith announced yesterday.

Haye lashed out at the crowd after taunts from fans of Tony Bellew — who he is due to fight on Saturday — during a charged press conference in Bellew’s home town of Liverpool on Monday.

The build-up to the grudge match has created several negative headlines, starting when Haye threw a punch at Bellew in reaction to being shoved by his foe during another media event in November.

The BBBC was already keeping close tabs on events and will discuss the fighters’ conduct at a meeting on March 8, but Smith admonished Haye for his reaction.

“We’ll get the fight out of the way and do what we deem necessary. It’s not a very good term and shouldn’t be used. We are very disappointed with this behaviour,” Smith told a daily newspaper.

“I have conversations with all the parties involved with regard to the further lead-up to the contest.

“They had all been warned already and I reiterate that warning. Haye was unrepentant after the press conference, tweeting out a clip of his outburst with the message:

“It got seriously heated in Liverpool today. The racist scumbag #BellendBellew fans are a real prize bunch of drunk moronic imbeciles. #Scum.”
