South Korea: Prosecutors say Park ‘guilty’ of corruption
SOUTH Korean prosecutors said yesterday that President Park Geun Hye conspired with the confidante who used her political connections to amass a fortune.
The statement by Seoul Central District chief prosecutor Lee Young Ryeol came the day after 600,000 protesters marched through Seoul demanding Ms Park’s resignation over the scandal.
The prosecutors charged Ms Park’s friend Choi Soon Sil with interfering in state affairs and bullying companies into giving tens of millions of dollars to foundations and businesses that she controlled.
