SOUTH KOREAN prosecutors denied claims yesterday they threatened to disgrace the family of President Park Geun Hye’s childhood friend Choi Soon Sil.

Ms Choi is accused of abusing her friendship with President Park Geun Hye — who was enthralled by her cult leader father Choi Tae Min — to dictate government policy and garner tens of millions in bribes from corporations.

Her lawyer Lee Gyeong Jae told a press conference her human rights had been violated during her questioning on Wednesday which lasted until 1am.
