Affordable homes crisis forces rise in car living

MORE people are being forced to live in their cars after finding themselves priced out of the housing market, a Labour MP told Parliament yesterday.

Oldham East MP Debbie Abrahams said Communities Secretary Greg Clark has shown “breathtaking” complacency over the housing crisis.

She warned of an “urgent and growing” housing shortage as she told Mr Clark: “There is a 20-year low in affordable homes being built.
