South Korea: Terror Bill filibuster ends with 12½-hour speech
SOUTH Korean MPs ended an attempt yesterday to filibuster a controversial new terrorism Bill they say is an attack on personal freedom and privacy.
Opposition MPs had spent more than a week trying to delay a vote.
Liberal Minjoo party MP Lee Jong Kul, the last speaker, spoke for 12 hours and 35 minutes before leaving the podium in the evening.
