Film: Closed Circuit (15)

A sophisticated understanding of the political process

Closed Circuit (15)

Directed by John Crowley

4 Stars

London's Borough Market is decimated by the explosion of a suicide bomber in Closed Circuit and in the aftermath the terrorist attacker survives.

He appears to be the sole individual behind the bombing and the only one behind the attack but his defence team have compelling evidence pinning responsibility directly on MI5.

In the ensuing narrative director John Crowley displays a sophisticated understanding of the political process.

And in this world of subterfuge, he creates a compelling and plausible thriller mixing international terrorism, love interest and the machinations of the so-called security services.
