Ukraine: Kiev presses ahead with EU trade to Russia’s discomfort

UKRAINE will plough on with a free-trade deal with the EU despite threats of retaliation from Moscow.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said yesterday: “This agreement will take effect on January 1 and it is in the interests of the European Union and Ukraine.”

Russia fears that the pact will hit its own trade with Ukraine.
