Anti-racists kick off kids’ competition for equality

CAMPAIGN group Show Racism the Red Card will launch its annual competition tomorrow for schools encouraging young people to create their own anti-racism messages.

At the kick-off will be professional footballers including England and Chelsea forward Fran Kirby, Crystal Palace’s Julian Speroni, Barnet’s Gavin Hoyte, former Arsenal midfielders Paul Davis and Perry Groves, former Tottenham captain Ledley King and former Chelsea striker Paul Canoville.

They’ll also be joined by National Union of Teachers general secretary Kevin Courtney and Simone Pound, Professional Footballers Association head of equalities.
