Film: The Taste Of Money (15)

A sharp criticism of Korea's ruling class

The Taste Of Money (15)

Directed by Im Sang-Soo

4 Stars

This is another of director Im Sang-Soo's sharp criticisms of Korea's ruling class, which won considerable critical acclaim at the Cannes film festival.

An evocative dramatisation of the life of South Korea's richest family, it charts their immoral and corrupt lives and how their political influence impacts on the whole of society.

Superbly shot, it's a highly distinctive film that lingers long in the mind.
