Koreas exchange warning shots in disputed waters

The rival Koreas exchanged warning shots at sea yesterday.

A Seoul official claimed that a North Korean warship had briefly entered disputed territory controlled by the South.

During the ship’s 10-minute stay, the South first broadcast a warning before letting off warning shots and the North returned fire, with the South then firing again — although both sides just hit water and there were no injuries reported.
