ANTI-BLACKLISTING campaigners yesterday leapt to the defence of shadow chancellor John McDonnell after he named a police officer involved in the scandal.
The Labour leftwinger was attacked in the right-wing Evening Standard after he named Detective Chief Inspector Gordon Mills as having addressed the secretive Consulting Association.
The association compiled a blacklist of 3,213 workers in the construction industry, identifying them as trade union activists or as having a track record of raising health and safety issues.
