Hoddle: Loss tonight would be a disaster
England take on Switzerland in Euro 2016 qualifier

A SWITZERLAND victory over England tonight in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier would be a disaster according to former England manager Glenn Hoddle.

Roy Hodgson’s men travel to Basel to take on the Swiss nearly a week after Wayne Rooney’s penalty defeated Norway in a lacklustre 1-0 victory in front of a disgruntled half-empty Wembley stadium.

Hoddle, who is now coaching at QPR, believes what he saw midweek is a cause for concern given the Three Lions’ showing at the World Cup and thinks Switzerland will be a tougher test.
