Privatisation drive at the heart of housing crisis
From total public investment on housing of over £44bn between now and 2020, only about £2bn will go on social-rented homes — £6.4bn will go to Starter Homes and shared-ownership homes, warns GLYN ROBBINS

The Axe the Housing Act (AtHA) campaign has hit the New Year running.

In 2016, pressure inside and outside parliament forced the government to backtrack on its plans to hike tenants’ rents and privatise more non-market homes.

The Tories housing agenda is in disarray, but the threat of the Act remains.
